The International Council of CCLP Worldwide has issued a call for nominations for the Global Education Awards 2010. Nominations are open for organizations, individuals and others who have initiated education for increasing better livelihoods.

Award Criteria: Awards shall be given in recognition of concept, organizational effort and dedication towards promoting and advancing the work of education for better livelihood. Eligible Recipients: Up to three global awards will be given annually—one for each of the following categories of contributors to education for Livelihood:

Individual

Degree-granting social work education programs national and international organizations.

Types of Awards:

Award recipients will receive both a letter and an engraved plaque in recognition of their contributions to the advancement of education for better livelihood. Awards will be posted to the address of the winner or may be announced or presented at ceremony.

Nominations Process: Letters of nomination for Partner awards must include the following:

The name and complete communications information for each nominee (including complete mailing address, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail address, etc.);the nominator’s rationale for the nomination (with a clear statement concerning the works and efforts made by the nominee in advancing education for livelihood);documentation in support of the nomination (e.g., a current curriculum vitae and copies of selected publications for individual nominees or, in the case of organizational nominees, a copy of the organization’s most recent annual report, copies of relevant stories concerning the nominee organization in the public media, as well as a detailed description of the activities engaged in by the nominee that contributes to the advancement of education for livelihood); and,Other materials that nominators believe would be helpful to the Awards Committee in reviewing the merits of nominees.

Nominations are open to all individuals, social work programs, and organizations regardless of Country language, religion, caste, creed and race Letters of nominations may be submitted in electronic or hard copy form. However, single copies of documentation in support of the nomination(s)–e.g., publications, stories about nominees in the mass media, school catalogues, course syllabi, videos and other non-electronic materials–must be mailed to the Awards Committee Chair at the address indicated below.

    CCLP mundial ha implantado el Premio mundial para reconocer a los individuos, la as organizaciones no gubernamentales (ONG) y cualquier otra institución que demuestran un esfuerzo extraordinario, con innovación, liderazgo y excelencia al iniciar y apoyar los esfuerzos educativos que produzcan un medio de vida mejor o una campaña o proyecto en este campo.

    CCLP mundial no sólo reconoce a destacados y famosas organizaciones no gubernamentales internacionales y a celebridades, sino también a ONG más pequeñas, menos conocidas y no muy famosas, en los países menos desarrollados y cuya valiosa contribución puede haber pasado desapercibida y poco apreciado socialmente.

    Los premios de Global Awards se presentan cada año en el momento de la Conferencia Mundial Anual de CCLP o en eventos similares.

    Los siguientes son los premios que se otorgan: Premio Global para el avance de la educación y orientada a mejorar el medio de vida individual. Premio mundial para promover la educación en organización educativas innovadoras. Premio mundial para apoyar y ampliar el ámbito de la educación institucional más allá de las fronteras locales.

    Un jurado compuesto por expertos procedentes del mundo diplomático internacional, así como activistas sociales y personas de la profesión docente, seleccionan a los ganadores entre las candidaturas recibidas. Última fecha de presentación de candidaturas se cerrará el 31 de julio 2010

    CONCURSO DE UN ARTICULO SOBRE GEOTURISMO


    Consideraremos aquellas propuestas que:

    * reflejen el tema del desafío, Geoturismo y Turismo sostenible. El desafío busca a identificar soluciones innovadoras que impulsen el cambio social;
    * indiquen el crecimiento más allá del estadio de la idea, concepto o investigación. Como mínimo buscamos propuestas que al menos estén en una etapa en la cual puedan demostrar su impacto o éxito. Si bien apoyamos todas a las ideas, sin importar en que etapa estén, los jueces sólo podrán evaluar aquellas propuestas que puedan probar su impacto, incluso en aquellos casos en que este sea pequeño;
    * sean enviadas en inglés, español o portugués y que
    * completen el formulario de presentación y lo envíen antes de la fecha de cierre.

    CRITERIOS DE SELECCIÓN

    Los ganadores de este Desafío Changemakers serán aquellos proyectos que mejor respondan a los siguientes criterios:

    * Innovación: Tu presentación debe describir la forma en qué su programa o actividad presenta un enfoque nuevo y diferente. Por favor, se claro y explícito: ¿Cómo promueve su innovación el turismo - directa o indirectamente-, cómo sostiene o realza el carácter natural de un lugar, su medio ambiente, cultura, estética, patrimonio y bienestar de sus residentes? Este criterio es obligatorio para su inclusión en el Desafío de Geoturismo.
    * Impacto social: Tu innovación ya tiene que mostrar resultados. El éxito demostrado puede ser local, regional o mundial. Independientemente de su alcance, la innovación debe mostrar el potencial de lograr generar un impacto en otras regiones del mundo y no sólo en un lugar. Describe con claridad y precisión cómo la innovación puede ser replicada y escalable.
    * Sustentabilidad/ viabilidad: Tu innovación debe ser sostenible para ser eficaz. Explica tu plan de financiación y otras bases de apoyo para el largo plazo. Incluye no sólo el financiamiento actual, sino también el plan de negocio para el futuro. Describe todo lo que sea necesario y quieras revelar.
